Your Future Fiberhood
PEAK Internet has applied for the BDP grant to help bring our Fiber-fast Internet service to your home! The Broadband Development Program awards funds to help build broadband infrastructure to bring high-speed Internet to underserved areas of Oregon. The Oregon Broadband office operates this program using federal funds awarded to the state by the US Treasury as part of the American Rescue Plan Act Capital Projects Fund.
We’re seeking support from your community to help tell the State that you’re ready for fast, reliable, and affordable Fiber internet service. We’ve included a postcard in the letter we sent, postage-paid and addressed to the Oregon Broadband Office; please take the time to fill in your information and drop it in the mailbox.
F.A.Q.
Q: Why am I receiving this letter?
A: PEAK Internet has applied for a grant to bring our Fiber service to your community, and your address is included in our projected build area. We’re asking that you simply fill out and drop the included postcard back into the mailbox to let our state representatives know that you want to bring Fiber to your community!
Q: Why would you want Fiber?
A: Fiber offers a reliable, high-bandwidth Internet connection with lower latency. Taking advantage of no-cost drop placement as part of a community grant will even increase the value of your property!
Q: When will we know more?
A: Applications were submitted at the end of April, but we don’t expect to learn who’s been awarded funds until October.
Q: What happens if PEAK isn’t awarded funds?
A: We’ll still be building toward you, it’ll just take us a little longer to get there!
